Tbh, Rajinikanth's Kabali can't beat Salman Khan's Sultan! (Read on to know why!)

Wow! The Kabali mania kicked off today with Rajinikanth making his grand presence felt on the silverscreen into the early morning hours. Yes, the first show of the much-awaited movie was held at four in the morning. As expected, fans throng the nearest theatres to watch their demigod  showcasing his antics like only he can. Some were left disheartened as they could not fetch tickets for the first show. Such is the buzz of the movie that people are expecting it to be such a massive hit that it can possibly give Salman Khan a run for his money. But we tell you why Sultan will remain steady even if Kabali keeps roaring with the highest decibels. ALSO READ: Kabali review: Rajinikanth & Radhika Apte’s gangster-drama gets mixed response

When it comes to Box Office numbers we must shed light on some key facts which will keep Sultan in a steady position. Yes, one must know that Rajini’s dubbed versions (no matter how big these films are) have not been doing well on the big screens in major metros. It was suggested back then that Kabali might fetch close to Rs 30 crore but Fox Star Studios have bought the movie for Rs 15 crore, knowing practicality of the number games and how it unfolds! Here are the five reasons why Salman Khan will continue to rule no matter what!

1. the first hand reviews suggest that Kabali only has fan-pleasing moments sans a solid story. Sultan on the other hand pushed the envelope in terms of storytelling and brave screenplay. There’s hardly any novelty in Kabali’s story where as Sultan was an endeavour that had much experimentation!

2. North India is a huge belt as far as business of cinema goes. Sultan had minted moolah from that zone as opposed to Kabali which is not looking exactly promising in this belt. Well the fandom of Rajinikanth exists in this zone but there are hardly any devotees. Salman rules here undoubtedly, especially at the ticket windows.

3. Dubbed films featuring Rajinikanth have not done well in fact the proportion is 1 :5, this margin is huge for distributors to take into account.

4. Mind you Sultan fetched both critical acclaim and box office numbers. Sultan has minted money already and going strong as it has a repeat value. Rajini’s fan pleasing mania may not generate the same!

Numbers for Kabali will start rolling in soon. We are confident a certain Sultan can sit securely wherever he is placed–right at the top, we mean!
