Yesterday, the makers of The Accidental Prime Minister dropped Anupam Kher‘s first look from the sets of the film. Now, the latest reports suggest that German actress Suzanne Bernert will portray former Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the upcoming political movie ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. Though her look from the film has not been unveiled officially, Suzanne’s profile picture on Twitter shows a striking resemblance with Gandhi.

Sharing the news about her role in Hansal Mehta’s film, Suzanne took to her micro-blogging site to share the look. Suzanne as former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has left people mesmerised. The actress has, earlier, portrayed the former Congress President in a television series titled ‘Pradhanmantri’. While the shooting of the film has already commenced in London and Anupam Kher has begun shooting for the film in England, the actress will join the actor on April 13. Married to actor Akhil Mishra, Bernert has acted in a number of Indian films and TV shows in various languages. The 35-year-old speaks Bengali, Marathi and Hindi fluently and is an expert Lavani dancer. Helmed by Vijay Gutte and written by Hansal Mehta, the film is based on 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjay Baru. The film also features Akshaye Khanna in a pivotal role. The film is scheduled to release on December 21, 2018.
