Kahaani 2 is all set to release tomorrow and we are super excited to watch Vidya Balan in a feisty avatar as Durga Rani Singh. We loved the earlier installment of Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani where Vidya played Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman desperately searching for her husband. The audience was stunned with this spectacular thriller and craved for more. So, here came back Sujoy with one more kahaani  named Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, starring Vidya again with new entry, Arjun Rampal. Kahaani was a hit in it’s own way, not to forget Amitabh Bachchan’s song ‘Ekla Chalo re’. This time too there is a similar Bengali song aka Rabindra Sangeet, “Anandoloke”. This song will be sung by Clinton Cerejo, the music composer of the film himself.

The Yaaram singer has also conceptualised the song and produced it. Talking about this, he told Mumbai Mirror, “Rabindra Sangeet is synonymous with Tagore and Kolkata where the movie is set. So, we decided to use one in our film. ‘Anandoloke’ means abode of joy and has references to happy endings, which is why we are using it in the end credits. It’s one of Sujoy and my favourite songs and another version has been used during a school assembly with kids reciting it.” With this new song addition, the film will be surely added with a musical charm.

The previous theme song, Ekla Chalo re was was sung by Amitabh Bachchan. The director had also earlier stated that he wanted Amitabh Bachchan to be a part of Kahaani 2 as he has always been a part of his films. Having said this, it was speculated that Sr. Bachchan would sing a Bengali song in this part too. However Clinton said, ” We did think about it and would have loved to have Mr Bachchan sing for us again. But including this song was a last minute decision and we didn’t have enough time to approach him.” (ALSO READ: Kahaani 2 song Mehram: Watch this Vidya Balan’s soulful song right now!)

Clinton also had this challenge of singing a Bengali song with proper nuances. The song being a Rabindra Sangeet, had to be sung with utter perfection! Talking about his preparations for the song, Clinton said, ” “I am not a Benagli so singing in bangla was a challenge. I didn’t want to get the pronunciation wrong and Sujoy was there throughout the dubbing to guide me.” Well, adding such a beautiful song itself is big thing and we can imagine what responsibility he must be having upon him. The movie also has more three songs ‘Mehram’ sung by Arijit Singh, ‘Lamhon Ke Rasgulle’ sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Bianca Gomes and ‘Aaur Main Khush Hoon’ by Ash King. All these songs are beautifully composed and go hand in hand with the movie. The Kahaani 2 version of Rabindra Sangeet is yet to be out and we are happy that a song by such a legend has been included in it!
