Akshay Kumar has always been the most bankable actor in the Indian film industry. Since his movie Airlift, in which he stars opposite Nimrat Kaur, released in 2016 the actor has been on a different kind of high. His movie, Jolly LLB 2 was also quite successful and if one were to see the audience reactions for his recently released film, Toilet:Ek Prem Katha, one would say that this too is likely to follow suit. The craze and excitement for the movie was so much that not just Bollywood stars but even Hollywood’s beauty Salma Hayek wished and congratulated the 49-year-old actor for the success of the film, on Twitter.
The Frida actress wrote on her official Twitter account, “Good luck to @akshaykumar on @ToiletTheFilm out today! End #OpenDefecation now! No woman should fear going to the toilet! #ToiletEkPremKatha”
To this our Khiladi Kumar replied, “Thank you for your wishes for our small effort towards #GoingODF : #ToiletEkPremKatha 🙏🏻”
This is perhaps the first time that a Hollywood actor has wished a Bollywood actor all the best for his/her movie. While we don’t exactly know when and how did the actors meet and become such great friends, we’re guessing it’s probably during an event in Dubai, held last year, in March. The film that was always touted to be an entertaining movie with a special an important message, has been garnering mixed reviews from all quarters, with ratings ranging from 1.5 to 4 stars on several leading websites. Many are calling it part movie and part propaganda.
