This is definitely very exciting! We know that Shah Rukh Khan will soon be launching the Indian version of Ted Talks. Titled Ted Talks: Nayi Soch, this will be aired on Star Plus from October. As if this wasn’t enough to get the people talking, we now hear that famous International TV host Oprah Winfrey might give a short and powerful talk on the show. We hear that SRK was dying to collab with Oprah ever since she came to India five years back. And he thought Ted Talks: Nayi Soch will be the perfect opportunity to do so.
“One international personality, Sundar Pichai, the Google head, has shot for one episode — he did not come to India, but did a virtual interactive session with SRK. The makers are keen on getting a few more. Oprah Winfrey had come to India five years ago when she was the guest of honour at a party hosted by the late Parmeshwar Godrej. Shah Rukh also attended the bash along with other B-Town personalities. The two connected then and he is keen that she be a part of his show. Since the show is adapted from the international format, the makers have approached her,” a source reveals to Bombay Times. ALSO READ: Salman Khan And Shah Rukh Khan Avoids Clash On TV
However, there is no confirmation on this from Oprah, SRK or the makers of Ted Talks: Nayi Soch as of now.
So far Karan Johar, AR Rahman, Maniesh Paul have shot for the show. And if SRK is indeed getting Oprah on board for this, it’s definitely huge. What are your thoughts? Tell us in the comments below.
