New Delhi, April 13: 2008 Olympic Gold medallist Abhinav Bindra was trolled on social media for terming Indian shooting prodigies Manu Bhaker and Anish Bhanwala as the brightest stars in the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2018 at the Gold Coast. Bindra said to clinch gold medals at a young age is a special feet.
Indian shooter Anish Bhanwala won gold in Men’s 25m Rapid Fire pistol event at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2018 being held at Australia’s Gold Coast. Anish, aged 15, created history by becoming the country’s youngest ever gold medal winner in the Commonwealth Games. He achieved the feat when he stormed his way into the gold medal with a Games record in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol event at the Belmont Shooting Centre. The Haryana boy shot down the CWG record in the final with a score of 30 including four series of 5 each.
While, Manu Bhaker grabbed the women’s 10m air pistol gold medal by shattering the games record while Heena Sidhu staged a stirring comeback to bag silver at the on Sunday.
“Sir. With due respect. All the players have been ‘brightest’. As a fan, none of the players expecially who bagged Gold was no less than BRIGHT,” Deepika Mehto tweeted.
