After KKR’s loss to SRH, Shah Rukh Khan said something about cheerleaders
Kolkata Knight Riders were eliminated from the IPL 2016 following 22-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad
Kolkata Knight Riders lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator of Indian Premier League 2016 and thus the team’s season came to an end, disappointingly. KKR failed to chase down the target of 162 runs and lost the match by 22 runs. Also Check- IPL 2016 Complete Coverage
It was a heartbreaking scene for fans to see the two-time champion crash out of the tournament. While dejection of fans was visible on the social media, on field something ‘unusual’ happened.
The KKR cheerleaders, who followed the team throughout the season, were seen crying and could not control their emotions as the Kolkata-based franchise was eliminated.
After the match was over, Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and expressed his feelings. SRK wrote, ”Always wish my KKR boys the best and never said anything to the girls who bring so much cheer. Lov u girls & thanx,” and posted the picture of cheerleaders crying along with it.

While it was moving to see cheerleaders feeling the defeat of their team at the same time it was pleasing to see owner- SRK, appreciate and applause the efforts of cheerleaders. It was indeed a great gesture by Bollywood superstar.
KKR finished fourth on the points table after the league stage, courtesy their weaker net run rate, and had to take on SRH in the Eliminator. KKR were chasing their third IPL title having previously lifted the trophy in 2012 and 2014.
