Hello, and welcome to India.com’s live coverage of Bangladesh vs New Zealand at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The outcome of this match will have nothing to do with semifinal spots. New Zealand are already through to the semis and will take this game as a practice. On the other hand, Bangladesh are out of the tournament and will be looking for an upset of sorts before boarding the flight back home.

Build-up: Yes this game is a dead-rubber, but there is a lot to play for as far as Bangladesh are concerned. The Bangla Tigers hurt from India contest, will want to prove they are not mere pushovers. The Mashrafe Mortaza-led side play for pride and nothing else. They are out of the competition and have nothing to lose. To surprise the in-form, Kiwis will be on their agenda.

For New Zealand, the match will be good practice before the all-important semis. We might see few changes in the Kiwi line-up. Fast bowlers Tim Southee and Trent Boult might finally get a game. The fast bowling duo has not played a single match in this tournament so far. Kane Williamson-led side will be keen to keep up the good work and stay unbeaten in the league stage. They will be eyeing fourth consecutive win and top the Group 2 points table.
