Chelsea who managed to overcome PSG’s tricky challenge to reach the semi-finals have been pitted against the dark-horses of the Champions League. Jose Mourinho’s side will travel to Spain to take on Atletico Madrid, who knocked out Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

In the competition’s other fixture, Real Madrid take on reigning European champions Bayern Munich who were given a slight scare against Manchester United over two legs in the quarter-finals eventually going through 4-2 on aggregate.

Real Madrid are still trying to win the Champions League after having lifted the cup last in 2002. Carlo Ancelotti’s men look better than ever to lift the cup this time around as they now boast the attacking trio of Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Bayern Munich will try to win the cup fro the second time in a row.

Chelsea advanced to the semi-final stage with an impressive victory over Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)– coming through on away goals – and will be looking to reach their second final in three years.

The first legs of the semi-finals are to be played on April 22-23 and the second legs on April 29-30.
