Dinesh Karthik led from front against Kolkata Knight Riders with a fine knock of 56. In the absence of regular captain Kevin Pietersen, he has been doing a good job juggling between the role of skipper, batsman and wicketkeeper. He will be tested by spinner R Ashwin, who has been brilliant coming off a successful ICC World T20 2014 campaign.

Brendon McCullum vs Mohammed Shami

Brendon McCullum vs Mohammed Shami

Brendon McCullum was the chief commander in destruction against Kings XI Punjab, belting KXIP bowlers round the park for 67. He played with the aggression he is known for. Dwayne Smith was destructive but McCullum was more ferocious in particular and will need to be stopped by Delhi Daredevils if they have an outside chance against CSK. Delhi daredevils would hope this deed to be done by their wrecker-in-chief Mohammad Shami.
