Commonwealth Games 2014 controversy: Official song shows Indian Flag upside down!
The official song ‘Let the Games Begin’ featured all the nations flag as they talked about Glasgow.
Everything looked hunky and dory as the Commonwealth Games 2014 kick-started with glittering opening ceremony at the Celtic Park till the controversial sight of Indian flag being shown upside down in CWG 2014 official song video. The official song ‘Let the Games Begin’ welcoming the athletes and viewers for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 is also Glasgow Children’s 2014 Anthem for UNICEF.
UNICEF led an initiative to look after the needs and problems of children around the globe along with brand ambassadors in form of Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Scottish actor Ewan Mcgregor.
The official song ‘Let the Games Begin’ featured all the nations flag as they talked about Glasgow but the flag of the earlier host nation of Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games shown upside came as shocker for the viewers. The organizers have expected one billion viewers of the opening ceremony to donate to the children’s charity of UNICEF.
One would have thought that the 20th Edition of Commonwealth Games would begin on positive note but this unimaginable mistake on the part of the song makers and CGF organizers have left the Indian national tad too disappointed.
