Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and model turned actress Hazel Keech tied the knot at the spiritual Dera of Baba Ram Singh Ganduan Wale in village Duffera on Sirhind-Chandigarh Road. The venue was chosen by Yuvraj’s mother  Shabnam Singh. After the ‘Anand Karaj’ ceremony, the couple got the blessings of Dera head, Baba Ram Singh.

The wedding was a low-key affair with only couple’s closest friends and family in attendance. Tight security arrangements were made near the Dera. This was the couple’s second visit to the Dera. They visited the place on Wednesday after their engagement ceremony.

The newly wades wore maroon-and-gold outfits. The bride wore a maroon colour lehenga with intricate golden embroidery. The World Cup winning cricketer was looking dazzling in velvet sherwani, which he paired with maroon turban and morji.  The wedding was performed as per Sikh rituals.

However, Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh didn’t attend the marriage ceremony. He already said that he would not attend the wedding as he was against marriage being solemnized by Dera leader,

Yuvraj’s father and former cricketer-actor Yograj Singh did not attend the wedding ceremony of his son in the dera “as he believes in god, not religious leaders.”

Yuvraj in his heydays was a tremendous hitter of the ball. He played a crucial role in India’s 2007 World T20I Victory and played an all-around role in 2011 World Cup at home. The Indian team lifted the coveted trophy after 28 years. As this flamboyant cricketer got married his teammates and counterparts took the twitter to convey a good wish to the newly married couple.
