The happiest day of the Indian contingent at the 20th edition of Commonwealth Games came on Tuesday, 29 July. The Indian team managed to bag 11 medals of those three were gold, four silver, and four bronze. The Indian team’s medal tally now has 10 gold medals, 16 silver medals, and 11 bronze medals which totals to 37 and is presently ranked on 6th position. The Indian contingent won all the three gold medals from wrestling with Sushil Kumar, Anil Kumar, and Vinesh Phogat winning in their respective 74-kg, 57-kg, and 48-kg categories. The Day 7 of the Commonwealth Games will see the likes of Vijender Singh, Jwala Gutta, Ashwini Ponnappa, P Kashyap, and PV Sindhu sweating it out to earn the top spot on medal podium.
