England have once again asserted their dominance over India and the visitors find themselves 43/5 at lunch. India’s biggest achievement has been the fact that they still have five wickets remaining, such has Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the remaining batsmen have a tall task at hand to salvage some pride and arrest the collapse.
15th August being India’s Independence Day, the entire nation were expecting their players to put up some fight; given that they literally surrendered the previous Test at the Old Trafford in three days. However, it seems to be a case of history repeating itself and as always the Twitterverse reacted to India’s abysmal first session batting.
Great bowling by England..but come on India, man up and make a game of it please. #Oval

I can’t tell if England are playing well or India are playing badly…

I think India just want independence from this test series. #EngvInd
