Bhubaneshwar, April 16: East Bengal blanked composure-less, depleted FC Goa side 1-0 in the first semi-final to enter the Hero Indian Super Cup at the Kalinga Stadium here on Monday.

Dudu (78th minute) score the lone goal of the match which was enough to see the Kolkata giants off to the final ahead of the second semi-final clash between Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru FC here on Tuesday.

The match was rather a tempo-less contest in the inaugural 45 minutes with East Bengal failing to combine in unison to make the most of the possession while FC Goa — who looked to be the more of counter-attacking side failed to combine inside the box.

For, the Goa franchise, their key man Ferran Corominas was kept quite by a high held East Bengal defense. Meanwhile, for the Kolkata giants who should have added a few more goals to their tally under the likes of Katsumi Yusa and Mohammad Al Amna — who combined well in the inaugural minutes but failed to find the back of the net.
