The Indian captain on the eve of the first ODI said there won’t be much experimentation in this short series. “We won’t experiment much in these three games. We’re going to find a combination and stick with it till the Champions Trophy. These three games, we’re taking them as knock-outs games in our own heads, keeping the Champions Trophy in mind,” said Kohli. Also Read- India vs England 1st ODI 2017 Match Preview

He also added that Yuvraj Singh, who will be playing his first ODI in three years, was picked to share the middle-order burden with MS Dhoni. The former captain is expected to bat at number four given that he has relinquished himself from the leadership responsibility.

England, on the other hand, did well in the first warm-up match by chasing over 300. However, the visitors lost the second practice game. With Joe Root back in the side, the English team will be hoping for a match-winning performance from him. Also Read- No burden, delighted to lead India in all formats, says Virat Kohli
