Mahendra Singh Dhoni_The Oval

As expected by many before the start of the fifth and final Test at the Kennigton Oval of India displaying the much needed turnaround did not quite take place. In fact Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his side continued to touch new lows in their Tour of England 2014. After getting all out for mere 148 runs in the first innings on the first Day of fifth Test match at The Oval, one expected the bowlers to be attacking on the Day 2, but barring few moments, even the bowlers looked ineffective.

Currently, with the lead of 237 runs England are running away with the fifth Test as well while India continue to play the catching up game.  The 5th Test match that is keenly followed is scheduled for an 11 pm BST (3.30 pm IST, 6 am ET) start with live coverage on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 3 and Star Sports HD1 in India. India started the England Tour on a positive note going 1-0 up the Test Series after their famous win at the Lord’s but they squandered their lead easily by losing the next two Test matches at Southampton and Old Trafford. The performance at Old Trafford was described as ‘shameless and spineless’  by the cricketing legends, media and spectators from all quarters. India will have to produce some unbelievable performances to save their face at the Oval and in cricketing world.
