The match is quite nicely poised at this point and time. You have India at 271 for 6 in reply to England’s 283. So there you see, India are slightly ahead even if a little behind. They will be looking at a lead of anywhere between 50 to 100. That will be handy considering India will have to bat last.

England are looking to make a comeback in the series. They are 1-0 down in this series of five matches. At this point and time, we have Ravichandran Ashwin batting on 57 and Ravindra Jadeja batting on 31. England have to make the most of the early morning conditions on Monday. Also Check- India vs England 3rd Test Full Scorecard

They need to wrap up India’s tail as quickly as possible and from their point of view, need to restrict India’s lead to under 50 runs. It is of course easier said than done and will take some doing.

India will not look to do anything fancy and will look to just consolidate their position in this match. The not out pair will be the key.
