Gold Coast, April 13: Representing India in the Commonwealth Games 2018, race walker KT Irfan and triple jumper Rakesh Babu were dismissed from the marquee tournament for breaching the no-needle code of conduct. Reports suggest, the duo were found guilty after their used syringes were recovered by cleaners in a cup on Wednesday.

Following the incident, the commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) president Louise Martin has asked both the athletes to depart to their homeland immediately.
