New Delhi, March 28: Attacking Midfielder Isco led the rout on a Lionel Messi devoid Argentina as Spain crushed their side 6-1. Meanwhile, Brazil completed a revenge on arch-rivals and World Champions Germany to defeat them 1-0 by a slender margin in the international friendlies on Tuesday.
For Spain, Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa opened the scoring in the 12th minute, which was followed by the unstoppable Isco hat-trick (27’, 52’, 74’). In the second-half Thiago Alcantra (55’) and Iago Aspas (73’) netted one a piece.
For Argentina, Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi was the lone goal scorer in the 39th minute.
In the other fixture, a lone goal from Gabriel Jesus in the 37th minute was enough for Brazil to edge past Germany.
