IPL 2014, CSK vs RR Preview: Can the Rajasthan Royals get past the Chennai Super Kings?

CSK vs RR has always been one of the most exciting rivalries in the IPL. They have delivered on each and every occasion that the two team has face and in providing the audience with jaw dropping and heart stopping entertainment. The two teams once again face each other on Wednesday evening in Dubai and judging by the current form of the two team, the game promises to be another Blockbuster.

Chennai Super Kings:

X Factor: Once again the batting heavy CSK will consider their batting to be their X Factor going into the game. The batsmen have now clicked on two consecutive occasion and have scored more than enough runs on the board. The opening pair has clicked for them so far in the tournament, although McCullum looked to be struggling in the last game. Suresh Raina has also found form, While the lower Middle order is strengthened by MS Dhoni and Faf Du Plessis. Ravindra Jadeja is also handy with the bat lower down the order.

Watch out for: MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina.

MS Dhoni is a danger to the opposition team in any condition in the shorter format. He can simply run his way through the bowling line up and he showed Glimpse of that in the last match against the Daredevils. Raina on the other hand Scored a much needed half century in the last game. His return in form will help the Super kings a great deal as he has always been the main stay of their batting.

Weak point: The Super kings at times seem to under perform and that can be the only thing that can cause the result to go against their favor. The Bowlers looked out of touch in their First game but their performance in the last game was nothing short of impressive.

Rajasthan Royals:

X Factor: The batting line up of Rajasthan again will be their Ex factor, they lost the last match but the performance of their batsmen was nothing short of outstanding. They will once again depend on their Top order to click and provide the Bowlers with a Good total to defend.

Watch out for: Sanju Samson, Steven Smith.

Sanju Samson showed everyone exactly why he is considered as a great future prospect for the Indian team. The 19 year old is not afraid to face even the quickest of the bowlers and his confidence against Mitchell Johnson was something great to see for a cricket fan. Steve Smith got his first game against the Daredevils and it seemed as if he has continued his form from the test series against the Proteas here, only he has transpired it into the T20 format. The young Aussie is treat to watch on the field as well.

Weak Point: Rajasthan has traditionally been a very strong bowling line up, but they managed to lose even after scoring 190+ in the last game, which only means that the bowlers have let down. The Bowlers need to pull up their Socks in the Game against the Super Kings or it is Game up for them.
