IPL 2014: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) vs Delhi Daredevils (DD)

There is only pride at stake when Kings XI Punjab takes on Delhi Daredevils. KXIP would not want to lose against a bottom placed team and that too when next on their fixture is a Qualifier against KKR while DD will try to win their first game on Indian soil this season. As both the teams take on each other we take a look at some duels that make this clash enticing.

George Bailey vs. Imran Tahir

George Bailey has not been that flamboyant but in limited outings he has managed to dazzle and score quickly down the order. Imran Tahir has enjoyed his stint in the IPL originally not picked in the auction he has been a revelation for DD and he has made sure that next year he gets some huge bucks with his performance.

Rishi Dhawan vs. JP Duminy

Both JP Duminy and Rishi Dhawan have almost similar roles to play in their respective teams. While Duminy is more of a batting allrounder, Dhawan is bowling allrounder, but both score valuable runs and pick wickets as well. A battle of all-rounders we can say that.

Akshar Patel vs. Manoj Tiwary

Manoj Tiwary was once the prominent face of Indian domestic cricket and was regarded highly but over the time with injuries he has not managed to perform consistently. Tiwary has been in and out of DD team but in last two matches he has done reasonably well. Akshar Patel is KXIP lead spinner and also a handy batsman. Patel throughout the tournament has been economical and keeps batsmen in check.
