IPL 2014, KKR vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad finish on 160

Regular wickets pegged Sunrisers Hyderabad as they manage to put on 160 SRH got off to a disaster start losing in form batsman David Warner on the second ball of their innings after he hit Morkel for a four. Morkel bowled a perfect delivery on good length and Warner (4) looking to drive missed the ball as it crashed onto the stumps.

Shikhar Dhawan and Naman Ojha took their time in the middle to put SRH back on track. Ojha looked good as he attacked Sunil Narine in his first over smashing two boundaries. He continued his attack and hit Ryan ten Doeschate for a six over long-on. Next ball ten Doeschate had his revenge as Ojha (26) tried to heave over the leg side, but the ball popped straight up high into the air and bowler completed an amazing catch to leave SRH 69-2 at the end of eight overs.

Venugopal Rao struggled to score and was giving strike back to Dhawan, who too could not found boundary. The pressure crept Dhawan (29) and he was run-out looking for a quick single on a sensational fielding by Manish Pandey. Venugopal Rao then found three boundaries off Morkel to see some momentum shifting towards SRH. Against the run of play Venugopal Rao (27) was run-out thanks to combined effort by Vinay Kumar and Pandey. SRH lost their fifth wicket when Anirudha (3) was stumped off Shakib and SRH were 127 in 16.3 overs.

Darren Sammy (29) and Jason Holder (16) played some lust blows down the order and helped SRH post 160-7 in 20 overs. Both batsmen were dismissed in last over trying to score as many as they can. Morne Morkel, Vinay Kumar, Ryan ten Doeschate and Shakib Al Hassan all picked one wicket.
