IPL 2014, Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR): Harbhajan Singh vs Shane Watson

Final spot in Playoffs is up for grabs and two teams in contention are Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. MI have done exceptionally well in later half of the tournament after being drubbed in UAEwhile RR’s campaign wobbled after two back to back defeats. As both teams will give their best shot to edge each other we take a look at some battles within the battle that will set the tone of the big clash.

Harbhajan Singh vs. Shane Watson

Both players are integral part of their respective teams. While MI bowling depends a lot on Harbhajan Singh,RR’s batting revolves around Watson. Both these players had a mixedouting so far and will look to give their best when it matters the most. Harbhajan and Watson are both proven match winners andhow the perform could be the defining moment of the game.

Jasprit Bumrah vs. Sanju Samson

In the absence of Zaheer Khan and Lasith Malinga Jasprit Bumrah has done excellent job to provide MI strength in pace bowling department.The youngster will be looking to emerge as a match winner for his team. Another youngster in RR ranks, Sanju Samson bats at key number three position and he may have to counter Bumrah early on. It will be a battle of youngsters for sure.

Kieron Pollard vs. Pravin Tambe

Kieron Pollard‘s ability to take game away from opponents is well known and on this big occasion he will be up on his toes to go out and demolish the RR bowlers. Leg Spinners have been successful in IPL and RR is blessed with Pravin Tambe an “old workhorse” he won’t mind to toss it up and deceive the big hitting Pollard.
