Chennai Super Kings will face the Kings XI Punjab in a rematch of the first match of their season and will look to revenge the only loss they have suffered this season. Punjab will be high on confidence knowing the fact that they are the only team that has beaten the Super kings who are currently on a 6 match win spree. The match that takes place at the Barabati stadium in Cuttack will also settle the dispute of which team will end up at the top of the teams table at the half way mark into the tournament.

Kings XI Punjab

X factor: Glenn Maxwell has been the star player this season so far. Wherever he has been he has lit up the stadium and the fans will be expecting Maxwell and the other heavy weights in the Punjab batting department to step up and deliver another sparkling batting performance

Watch out for: Virendra Sehwag, David Miller.

Virendra Sehwag has always given a decent start to the Kings XI and has somewhat played the role of the Dark horse in the Punjab batting line up. Will today be the day when he finally cuts lose, because that one innings is inevitable to come. David Miller has played the role of the finisher very well so far in the tournament. He has finished the game for the kings on a couple of occasions and this man can hit a six as long as any.

Weak Point: Mitchell Johnson still hasn’t been able to find his groove in the tournament so far. He has struggled on more than one occasion that doesn’t hold well if you are the person leading a bowling attack. If he manages to find a way to get back in form, the Punjab side will look almost unbeatable.

Chennai Super Kings

X factor: The opening partnership for Chennai Super Kings in form of Dwayne Smith and Brendon McCullum are clicking for most of the matches. They are in red hot form and provide CSK a solid base to make a formidable total against the opponents. Of the two, Brendon McCullum is more destructive in his approach while Dwayne Smith paces his innings and give CSK batting line-up solidarity.

Watch out for: Mohit Sharma, Suresh Raina

Weak Point: As such Chennai Super Kings do not have any concern areas but going back to their only defeat of IPL 2014, once the opponents adopt an aggressive approach, there is no such thing called plan B seen from the CSK side. This might go against the former champions.
