Kolkata, April 16: KKR rode on an all-round performance to outclass their former captain Gautam Gambhir led DD by 71 runs at the Eden Gardens here on Monday. Kolkata thus moved up to the second place in the points table while Delhi are now on the seventh spot.

In the chase, Delhi Daredevils lost their top order – Gautam Gambhir (8), Jason Roy (1), Shreyas Iyer (4) in quick succession.
Following the dismissals, Rishabh Pant (43) and Glenn Maxwell (47) played vital cameo knocks but failed to take their side to a winning position.
Earlier, KKR opted to open with Chris (31) Lynn and Sunil Narine. The latter was dismissed for 1 run in the third over by Trnt Boult.
Following the dismissal Robin Uthappa played a cameo knock scoring 35 runs off 19 balls, his innings was laced with two boundaries and three hits over the fence before he was sent back to the dug-out by Shabhaz Nadeem.
Untroubled by the dismissals, Rana came to the rescue for the home side as he forged a 61-run fifth wicket stand with Russell – who came close to score the fastest half-century of the IPL but missed out as he was sent back by Boult.
For Delhi, Rahul Tewatia scalped three wickets in the final over of the KKR innings.
