Ipl season 7

The IPL officials announced the schedule and the venue details of the first 20 matches of IPL 7 of the UAE leg. These total of first 20 matches are to be played in three stadiums – Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah and Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. The UAE leg of the cash-rich tournament IPL 7 starts from 16th April, 2014 to 30th April, 2014. IPL Champions of the sixth edition Mumbai Indians will take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match of the IPL 2014 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The last match to be played in UAE is between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In what is foreseen as one crackling inaugural match of this season of IPL 2014, both Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders will look forward to drawing the first blood. Both these teams are star-studded and have been the most highlighted teams throughout the history of Indian Premier League.

With the first leg of match fixtures announced, the time-table of the next phase will be keenly watched. The IPL caravan returns to India on May 13. The tournament has been divided to be played in different countries as the dates of IPL clashed with the general elections at the same time. Another alternate venue for the IPL is Bangladesh, which is expected to host matches from 1st May 2014 to 12th May, 2014. The schedule for the remaining 40 matches is to be announced in some time.
