English Premier League giants Manchester United appear closer than ever to landing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic with reports suggesting Lazio star Keita Balde is set to join the Italian club.

The Red Devils have been strongly linked to the Croatian international but Inter have stood firm on their valuation at £50m, which United have not been willing to match.

Jose Mourinho has identified two more signings this summer after landing Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku in big-money moves and Perisic could be their third signing of the summer.

A physical winger with brilliant crossing abilities is thought to be high on Mourinho’s list of priorities and Perisic fits the bill completely. A deal is edging closer now though with Inter able to secure a replacement, which could mean the club soften their stance on their asking price.

Balde has just one year to run on his contract with Lazio and had been thought to want Juventus above other interested clubs but is now all set to join Inter.
