Jasprit Bumrah Handed Test Debut, Ajinkya Rahane Dropped For First Test

New Delhi: India have handed limited-overs specialist pacer Jasprit Bumrah a Test debut in the opening Test of the three-match Test series against South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town. Meanwhile, the visitors have dropped Ajinkya Rahane and included Rohit Sharma in his place.
Ravindra Jadeja who is down with viral infection misses out and thus Ravichandran Ashwin is the lone Indian spinner for this Test. The visitors have also included all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
South Africa, on the other hand, have picked four seamers including Dale Steyn and a spinner in Keshav Maharaj. The hosts have left out middle-order batsman Temba Bavuma.
