Live Score Update, IPL 2014, Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs Kings XI Punjab (KXIP): Kings XI Punjab win by 7 wickets
The Punjab team has the edge in batting while Rajasthan has the better bowling so it should be a good contest.
Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals have both one match each and will be trying it make it 2 out of 2 as they come to battle it out in at Sharjah on Sunday. Kings XI Punjab pulled off an exciting win against Chennai Super Kings in a high scoring match while Rajasthan Royals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad later the same day.
When it comes to looking at the performance and combined team dynamics and their past performances, Kings XI Punjab emerges as the favourable team to win the contest but that doesn’t mean that Rajasthan Royals are out of. The likes of Shane Watson and Glen Maxwell can certainly take the match away from an upset and turn it in their favour.
Punjab has a new team as compared to the Rajasthan side with minimal overhauling. The Punjab team has the edge in batting while Rajasthan has the better bowling so it should be a good contest.

Cheteshwar Pujara takes a single to give Miller the strike. Miller picks up two more runs even though his swing is mistimed. David Miller hits his 6th 6 and brings up his 50 runs and the winning runs for Kings XI Punjab.

Dhawal Kulkarni needs to get a wicket or bowl a maiden to slow the scoring for Punjab. David Miller is on strike now and gets a huge 6. Great running by Pujara and Miller to get a couple of runs and get Miller back on strike. David Miller gets another 6. Again Miller goes big and the slow ball gets hit out of the park. The 50 runs partnership comes up thanks to Miller’s hitting.

James Faulkner comes back into the attack. Pujara gets a shot fine and the ball runs away for a 4. Pujara slams the ball but it doesn’t have enough power on it but he still runs for 3 runs and the 150 runs up for Kings XI Punjab.

Pravin Tambe is back into the attack. Pujara gets another single for a slow scoring rate this innings. David Miller waited for the ball and slammed it over the ropes for a 6.

David Miller comes out to bat. AN inside edge and it hits the pads for no run. Well fielded by Rajat Bhatia who saved a certain 4.

Brilliant start to the over by Rahane’s amazing save at the ropes to save a 4. Pujara hits a good shot but gets just 1. Maxwell gives himself room and hits the ball high and it sails over the ropes for a 6. The 100 runs partnership up and Maxwell hits another 6. Bhatia is facing the flak for Glenn Maxwell’s brilliant batting. Good running by Pujara to motivate Maxwell to get back on strike.

Maxwell gets another cheeky shot to get a 4 off of Dhawal Kulkarni. A flick shot by Glenn Maxwell dissects the field and it runs away for a 4. Another magnificent drive to punish the bowler for a loose ball and he gets a 4. Another good shot and Maxwell bags another 4.

A reverse sweep and it beats the fielder to go for 4. Another reverse sweep and Maxwell gets another 4 off of Rajat Bhatia to get his 50 runs from just 28 balls. A good drive by Maxwell and they run a couple, good running by Pujara. Another reverse sweep from Maxwell and the ball races away for 4.

Tambe comes into the attack and he is troubling Pujara who is swinging to get a good hit. A good ball by Tambe almost comes onto the stumps but misses.

Bhatia comes into the attack and he will look for the breakthrough that Rajasthan want. A decent hit but the ball falls short or Maxwell would have had to go back.

Pravin Tambe comes into the attack and he gets a chance to redeem himself after the dropped catch but he gets slammed for a 6 by Maxwell. Maxwell is looking to use the spin of the ball and hit it over the leg side.

Sanju Samson gets a massive 6 to gets his 50 runs from 32 balls. Samson gives himself too much room and a textbook ball gets Awana the wicket that Kings XI Punjab was waiting for.

Stuart Binny connects and it carries all the way to David Miller and he loses it but the ball gets caught between his legs as the umpire asks for the Third Umpire’s advice on the. The ball is secured by Miller and Binny has to walk back. Smith comes out to bat and gets off the mark with a single.

Murali Kartik comes into the attack. Stuart Binny hits a massive 6 and that brings a huge grin on Shane Watson’s face.
