In an epic clash, Poland’s Lukasz Kubot and Brazil’s Marcelo Melo defeated Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(2), 3-6, 13-11 in the final to clinch the Wimbledon’s men’s doubles title.

The match being played at the Centre Court was suspended at 11-11 and then resumed with the roof being closed.

After the restart, Marach and Pavic were broken in their first service game, as the victorious duo won the final clash that lasted four hours and 39 minutes.

Moreover, both pairs had come into the final after playing out marathon five-set semifinals. Meanwhile, Garbine Muguruza defeated Venus Williams 7-5, 6-0 for her maiden Wimbledon title.
