Gold Coast, April 9: Australia pacer Mitchell Starc celebrated his brother’s gold medal achievement in the ongoing Commonwealth Games Gold Coast 2018. The star pacer’s sibling — Brandon Starc helped Australia clinch its first high jump gold medal since 1994.

Meanwhile, Brandon, who is 24-year-olo edged out Jamal Wilson of the Bahamas and Canadian bronze medallist Django Lovett — who finished in the second and third sport respectively in the process.

“Get in there boy! Gold medal at the Com games! Bloody awesome @Brandonstarc93 super proud young fella,” Starc applauded for his brother on twitter.

His previous personal best was 2.31m set at the 2015 world championships, according to Cricket Australia. Earlier, Starc who was bought by KKR in the ongoing edition of the IPL 2018 was dismissed of the lucrative tournament due to an injury he sustained during the final Test match against South Africa.

It, thus became the third consecutive season that the star pacer missed out on the BCCI operated professional T20 league.
