Netherlands rout England for the second time

England ends their World T20 campaign on a losing note as Netherlands beat them comprehensively by 45 runs. Chasing a modest total of 134 England were bundled out for 88.

Mudhasir Bukhari rocked England early on as he dismissed openers Michael Lumb (6) and Alex Hales (12). After that in no time England found themselves in spot of bother when they were reduced to 42-5 in 10 overs with Eoin Morgan (6), Moeen Ali (3) and Jos Butler (6) all back in the hutch without much contribution.

In 12th over, Tim Bresnan’s (5) run out further triggered England collapse. Ravi Bopara (18) tried his hand at everything but after his dismissal it was just a matter of time for Dutch to bundle England out.

England tail did not troubled Netherlands bowlers and fell apart hurriedly. Mudhasir Bukhari and van Beek ripped English batsmen and scalped three wickets each. Netherlands were equally good in the field as they inflicted two run outs and held onto some stunning catches in the deep. This is for the second time Netherlands defeated England in a T20 match.

Earlier Netherlands despite an accelerating start scored only 133 runs. Opener Stephan Myburgh scored 39 runs while wicketkeeper batsman Wesley Barresi was top scorer with 48 runs. English Captain Stuart Board picked three wickets while Chris Jordan and Ravi Bopara both clinched one wicket.
