New Zealand will eye for a win in second ODI against South Africa

New Zealand take on South Africa in the second One-Day International (ODI) at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The match will start at 3.30 am Indian Standard Time (IST) on 22 February. The onus will be on the host to do the running after losing the first game in Hamilton in a tight finish.

The live cricket streaming of the match will be officially available on OSN Play, Foxtel Go and SKY GO. As for the live telecast, it will be available on Sky Sport 1 in New Zealand, Fox Sports 2 in Australia, Supersport in South Africa, Sky Sports in the United Kingdom (UK) and OSN Sports in the Middle East.

South Africa, which came into the five-match series with 11 ODI wins on the trot, equalled its national record of 12 consecutive wins – set in 2005 – following a rusty four-wicket victory in the first ODI at Seddon Park in Hamilton.

Set a winning target of 208 by New Zealand, the South Africans scored 210 for the loss of six wickets in 34 overs. It was South Africa’s twelfth on the trot and was achieved with one ball to spare. Catch the live scorecard here.

Skipper AB de Villiers was unbeaten on 34, and Andile Phehlukwayo who struck crucial sixes in the penultimate and last over of the match, helped the visitors canter to victory.

South Africa will be playing their first international match in Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The last time they played in Christchurch was the Jade Stadium in 2004 that New Zealand easily won by 5 wickets with 29 balls to spare and even this time, the hosts will eye for the same result to make a comeback in the five-match ODI series.
