New Delhi: Pakistan are taking on Sri Lanka in the first of the five ODI matches in Dubai on Friday. The latest news is that Sri Lanka have won the toss and have elected to bowl. It is difficult to predict favourites in this match. Pakistan have the experience of playing in Dubai. They are also high on confidence after their recent win at the Champions Trophy in June.
But Sri Lanka won both the Test matches against Pakistan and will look to drive that momentum from the longer format to the ODIs. It will be interesting to see how Sri Lanka go considering that they were recently whitewashed 5-0 at home against India in the 50-overs format.
Pakistan on the other hand will want to prove that their win at the Champions Trophy was not a one-off and that they can play consistent cricket for a prolonged period.
