Brazilian legends Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos along with Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs have flown to Pakistan to play a couple of seven-a-side exhibition match. Carlos, however, is expected to arrive late.

This event has been organized to boost sports in the country of Pakistan. Other players who are included in this tour are George Boateng, Robert Pires, Nicolas Anelka and David James.

The players are being paid a large sum of money (between USD 300,000 to USD 600,000) to play a couple of exhibition matches according to the reports.

Commenting on the event, Pakistan football captain Kaleemullah said, “For us it’s a big moment. We didn’t ever dream that such big stars will come to Pakistan. I grew up watching Ronaldinho on television and I still can’t believe it, he’s in Pakistan.”

Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho said in a statement, “I am excited at the prospect of playing in Pakistan.” While former Manchester United player Ryan Giggs spoke to Geo Television and said, “Pakistani fans have not seen (international) players. This is a great opportunity to see footballers live and in their home country.”

Meanwhile, tickets for the match were priced from 2,000 to 30,000 rupees.
