Rome, May 20: World No. 4 Simona Halep of Romania stormed into the Italian Open final after beating Kiki Bertens in the semifinal clash on Saturday.

Halep took 76 minutes to beat her Dutch opponent 7-5, 6-1.

It took some time for Halep to find her footing before taking full control of the match. In the final, she will be meeting the winner of the other semifinal between Spain’s Garbine Muguruza and Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina.
