Hyderbad, April 12: SRH produced an all around performance to beat defending champions MI by one-wicket in a nail-biting VIVO IPL 2018 clash which went to the last ball at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Thursday.

Asked to bat, Hyderabad bowlers Sandeep Sharma (2/25), Billy Stanlake (2/42) and Siddharth Kaul (2/29) bowled brilliantly to restrict Mumbai to 147/8. Later, Deepak Hooda (32 not out) played an important knock to help the side clinch victory in the last ball.

Opening the innings, Shikhar Dhawan (45) got SRH off to a good start. He also earned the orange cap – for the leading run scorers having scored a half-century in the previous innings.

Meanwhile, for Mumbai, Mayank Markande picked 4 wickets and earned the purple cap while Mustafizur Rahman picked 3 wickets to keep their side alive in the match.

Earlier, after being asked to bat, Mumbai put up a poor show and failed to cross the 150-run mark. Thanks to some brilliant bowling from Sandeep Sharma (2/25), Billy Stanlake (2/42) and Siddharth Kaul (2/29) – who picked up eight wickets in unison to restrict the defending champions to an average total.

For Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav (28), Evin Lewis (29) and Kieron Pollard (28) played cameo knocks each but failed to take their side to a competitive total after each of them good to a good start with the bat.
