Sri Lanka and New Zealand were sure to qualify for the semi-finals before the start of the tournament but the tables have turned and fate brigs them against each other with only the victor going through to the semis. With South Africa already qualified for a spot, these two teams face off in a must win match and it should be a cracker.

Sri Lanka is probably the better team here with an amazing bowling attack and they have been consistent throughout the ICC World T20 2014. Lasith Malinga is an indispensable weapon for the Sri Lankan team who delivers in almost every imaginable condition. Sri Lanka’s batting with stalwarts like Jayawardene and Dilshan along with Sangakarra and Perera.

New Zealand may not have shown it on the field but they look like the most evenly balanced team in the ICC World T20 2014. New Zealand has James Neesham and Trent Boult to counter Sri Lanka’s batting and they have Nathan McCullum to spin things around for them.

Williamson, Taylor and Brendon McCullum have shown their prowess with the bat and its time that they show it one more time against Sri Lanka to reach the semi-finals.
