New Delhi, April 2: With a choice of plenty to select from to open for the franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore might opt to form the opening pair of their flamboyant captain Virat Kohli and hard-hitting batsman Brendon McCullum in the Indian Premier League 2018.
The India skipper, who has earlier opened for the franchise alongside the likes of Chris Gayle, averages 50.84 with a strike rate of above 138 in Twenty20 International (T20Is). Meanwhile, McCullum, who is well-known for his flamboyant, ruthless approach on the bowlers from the onset of the game has a strike rate of 136 plus.
However, both these batsmen contain a capability of winning a match on their own, on any given day and can prove to be lethal on bowlers of any stature and experience.
