New Delhi: Ahead of the third T20 between India and Australia in Hyderabad on Friday, we had Aamir Khan at the ground to promote his film Secret Superstar. Also present there was Virender Sehwag who is one of the Hindi broadcasters for the series for the official TV network showing the cricket.

Sehwag happened to quiz Aamir on himself and the actor who knows his cricket was stumped as it was only a statistical guru who may have got this one right. So Sehwag asked Aamir that in how many balls did he score the fastest 300.

He gave him four options, 260, 278, 280 or 281 balls. Aamir chose the least number of deliveries and said 260. But Sehwag got him there as the answer was not all that simple, being 278.

Sehwag scored this fastest triple century back in 2008 against South Africa in Chennai. While he made 319 off 304 balls, he got to the 300 mark in 278 deliveries.

Sehwag scored one more triple century in his career. That was against Pakistan in Multan in 2004. That time he made 309 runs off 375 balls. Both his triple tons were of course breathtaking, keeping in mind that they came in quick time and were laced with several boundaries.
