Passengers travelling by air generally can afford a carefree attitude, sit back and relax or ponder over their laptops or cell phones taking care of their businesses. But that wasn’t the case for passengers of UTair jet plane in Russia, who were in for a shock. At temperatures touching minus 52 degree centigrade, the travellers were asked to disembark on the terminal and use their physical strength to push the 28-ton Tupolev Tu-134A flight to the runway as its brakes froze due to the sub-zero temperatures.

People were filmed exerting their strength on the wings as that was the only accessible part where their height could reach in order to fulfill the task. This really raises the question whether the condition of the plane was safe enough to make the two hour trip in such temperatures. Luckily for the passengers, their efforts didn’t go futile as the plane completed its scheduled journey from Igarka Airport to Krasnoyarsk successfully. Nonetheless, one of the passengers recorded the incident and posted the video on Youtube, sending the Social Media abuzz.
