Roger Federer says he will win Wimbledon 2014: Watch French Open 2014 press conference video

Tennis champion Roger Federer of Switzerland crashed out of the French Open 2014, losing in an early round in a tough five-setter against Latvia’s underdog player Ernests Gulbis. The 7-6(5), 6-7(3), 2-6, 6-4, 3-6 match happened in Paris at Rolland Garros on Sunday (June 1).

In the post-match press conference, Federer revealed that rather than mulling over his loss at the French Open this year, he would rather turn his focus on Wimbledon 2014, the biggest tournament in tennis history.

Federer was confident he still had it in him to get back in the game at the Wimbledon Championships, a Grand Slam event where he has been victorious more often than not in his career – eight times!

The Swiss champion also expressed that mentally he is on the grass court already and that “Clay doesn’t need me anymore”.
