Mumbai, July 16: Controversial Islamic preacher, who is facing heat over allegation of inspiring some of the Dhaka attackers through his sermons, held a press conference on Friday and answered to several question posed by media. During the media interaction, Zakir Naik issued an open challenge to Times Now Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami for a debate over the allegations against him.

In a veiled attack, Zakir Naik targeted Arnab Goswami calling him a ‘chooha’ (mouse). “Studio ke andar chooha bhi sher banta hai, sher ka bachcha hai to bahar aao!” (inside a studio, even a mouse feels like a lion, if you’re a lion cub, step out!) said Naik.

Zakir Naik lashed out at Times Now and Arnab Goswami for terming him a terrorist. “Listen what Arnab Goswami says. He said anyone who supports terrorist is also a terrorist. Does he know there are millions of people watching my channel? I have million of followers across the world. All these people, according to Arnab Goswami, are terrorist. “I challenge Arnab Goswami to come on neutral platform rather than holding an agenda-driven debates,” said Zakir Naik. The Islamic preacher also revealed that how Times Now’s Megha Prasad took two different interviews. Naik alleged that the journalist was pressurised by Arnab for making baseless allegations against him.

Times Now has been running campaign relentlessly against Zakir Naik. However the supporters of Naik believed that the channel was propagating false information to tarnish the image of the Islamic scholar. Watch the video below:
