After a fairly long gap we get back to drooling over brand new cars - this time we invite you to feast yor eyes upon the Tesla Electric Car.

The Model S, an all-new 4-door 5-passenger zero-emissions luxury sedan powered by a lithium-ion battery pack.

Unlike the Tesla Roadster, which is built in partnership with Lotus in the U.K. and based on a stretched Elise platform, the Model S will ride on a platform developed by Tesla.

Charge this machine up once and you can travel with ease for as long as 240 miles. This car goes from 0-60 miles per hour in less than 6 seconds, which is quite stunning for an Electric Car.

The Model S will have a base price of about $60,000, and will be available early 2010.
