Office 2010 already leaked to the internetMicrosoft in the soup
Piracy seems to evade the clutches of Microsoft every single time, members of the software giant went "d'oh!" once again on Saturday when they noticed the official beta for Microsoft Office 2010 being downloaded online. The beta of the Microsoft Office 2010 isn't supposed to release in another week at the Professional Developer Conference in Los Angeles, but someone with itchy hands decided to leak the software online and post in on torrent sites, much to the joy of trigger happy pirates across the globe. According to Neowin, the leaked build is numbered version 14.0.4514.1009 and is tagged with a 'beta 2' naming. Of course to install it one requires a product key, but that isn't exactly a fool proof plan to counter piracy. Someone clever took the serial keys that were used in Technical Preview of Office 2010 and posted it online as well. Those downloading the software illegally simply copy the serial numbers and end up with a clean install. On the brightside, Office 2010 is looking rather good. As you can seen in the below screenshot, the user interface has been given a refreshing face lift. According to the official twitter account of Office 2010, "MS Office team has some exiting news to tell at PDC. This is a must attend event. Stay tuned!" ![]() November 14, 2009
