Nexus One sales disappointJuts 80,000 units sold in one month
as per figures revealed by Flurry Inc, Google's Nexus One phone is not selling too well - according to their report Google sold only 80,000 units in the first month of launch - which is rubbish compared to the 600,000 the iPhone sold in 30 days. Of course Motorola managed to sell 525,000 units of its android-based phones in its first month. We think the problem was not Google's marketing strategy, but instead the company's decision to force consumers to depend on the internet to get support from Google and handset manufacturer HTC to solve their problems. Users in the US had complained about a few issues and they were left high and dry when no one heard their moans. Only last week the problems on T-Mobile's 3G network were sorted out. Of course it does not help that Google has not advertised about the Nexus One, those who're in the know include on the hardcore gadget geeks and those who worship Google - the average junta does not have an iota of an idea regarding the Nexus One. Apple had marketed the iPhone like it was the next best thing since Diet Coke. But as we reported earlier, the Nexus Two could really devour the market. The Nexus Two will be a Motorola device, taking over from HTC which manufactured the Nexus One. February 7, 2010
