Two major flagship phones will start being shipped to Indian shores around this week. Google’s pixel and LG V20 accounts for giving choices to consumers and that brings us to make a comparison between the two phones. These days when high-end smartphones come at whooping prices, sure to burn a hole in the pockets, looking at pros and cons of ones choice becomes very apparent. So here we compare Pixel phones by Google and just recently announced LG V20.
Google Pixel and LG V20 share a lot in common, like both the smartphones run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box, where LG V20 is the first phone to run Android Nougat out-of-the-box with LG’s cutomized UI skin. Since, Pixel are ‘Made by Google’ phones, it is to receive quicker OS updates over-the-air. Also, the two smartphones comes packed with with 4 GB RAM and Google Pixel has two variants 32 GB and 128 GB, while LG v 20 comes in 32 GB and 64 GB. However, Google Pixel doesn’t give an option to expand the storage capacity, which is available in LG V 20. Though, Google Pixel offers unlimited online storage on Google Photos. So, for those who like to make most of the space, both the phone can fulfill that need satisfactorily.
Talking about the processor and performance, LG V20 runs on 2.15 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset while Google Pixel run Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset clocked at 2.1 Ghz, and both the phones have Adreno 530 GPU graphic chipset. From what becomes apparent, Google Pixel is packed with newer and better chipset than that of LG V20.
On the camera front, Google Pixel comes with a single rear camera setup, while LG V20 boasts of dual-camera setup at the rear. Google Pixel has a 12.3 megapixel camera and f/2.0 aperture. Also, the camera on both Google Pixel and Pixel XL have got highest ever DxO Mark points for any smartphone ever at 89. For LG V20 phone, the phone has two camera sensor at the rear panel- a 16 megapixel camera with Hybrid Auto-focus and dual-tone LED flash with only f/1.8 aperture. The second camera is an 8 megapixel wide angle camera. The front-facing camera on Google Pixel phones and LG V20 is an 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel respectively.
