Lenovo has finally launched the most anticipated smartphone, Lenovo P2 today in India adding to the company’s mid-range P series devices. The launch stream kicked off  with Sahil Khattar along with Lenovo Product Head, Anuj Sharma, highlighting the 3-day battery life on Lenovo P2. The P series successor packs within a ginormous 5100 mAh battery. Lenovo P2 is the fastest charging smartphone in the world, the company claims. Lenovo P2 will be Flipkart exclusive, priced at Rs 17,999 for the top variant (4GB RAM+32GB) and Rs 16,999 for the base (3GB RAM+32GB) variant. The Lenovo smartphone will be available in two color variants –  Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey.

Flipkart is also hosting special two day launch sale from January 12 to January 13, offering flat Rs 2000 discount on the price. An exchange bonus of up to Rs 15,000 can be availed in return of an old smartphone. In addition to this, Flipkart would also be offering 10 percent discount on use of State Bank of India credit cards.

Apart from the long-lasting battery strength, Lenovo P2 also features dual- app support, which means user can run two profile on one single device. The feature allows to segregate one kind of app usage from the another. Lenovo P2 will allow users to run two Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter along with other apps, on a single device. Also, the device offers a 18 hours of video playback and features a 5.5 inch FullHD Super AMOLED display, boasting of enriched display quality. Lenovo P2 also boast of high quality sound experience on speakers coupled with TI Amplifiers on board.

Lenovo P2 runs on a 2Gh octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU offering wide-color gamut. It is powered by a 4GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, expandable up to 128 GB via Micro SD card. The device would also be launched in 3GB RAM variant in India along with 32 GB internal storage. The P2 smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the box and it is dual-SIM enabled. The phone packs connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooh 4.1, Micro-USB type C.

In the camera department, Lenovo P2 offers a 13 megapixel camera with LED Flash on the rear panel and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video recording. The device also features a fingerprint scanner, for device unlocking and gesture control.

At a price tag of Rs 17,999 the Lenovo P2 smartphone would face competition with Lenovo owned Moto M Rs 17,999. Moto M offers 4GB RAM with 64 GB inbuilt storage and powered by MediaTek Helio P15 processor. Moto M lacks a 5100 mAh battery, which makes Lenovo P2 last longer.
