Nokia 3310 expected to release in India in April 2017, priced under Rs 4000
Nokia 3310 will be released globally at a retail price of €49, approximately Rs 4000. Nokia has confirmed to roll out the handset to India along with other Asia-Pacific, Middle East, African and European markets in Q2 2017.
Mobile World Congress 2017 stands out special in more ways than just one. MWC 2017 witnessed coming back of the iconic brand ‘Nokia’ once again to the market, delivering Android smartphones for its fans. Nokia, presently licensed by HMD Global, launched three smartphones – a special edition Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 on Sunday. However, that is not it. Amidst, a choir group singing the Nokia melody, the company rebooted its one of the most iconic and invincible phone of all times, the Nokia 3310.

Nokia 3310 comes in a modern avatar to suit the modern times. The ‘modern classic reborn’ feature phone is as tough and durable as the last time you heard about it. It can offer a 22 hours of talktime and a month of standby time. At the showcase event, Nokia introduced the device with a teaser video, which apparently gave out few details about the specifications. Nokia 3310 would sport a 2.4 inch color display, a 2 megapixel camera on the rear panel with LED flash, Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Interestingly, the ‘iconic’ Nokia phone is not back alone, it has also got popular Snakes game on board, accompanied with nostalgic Nokia tone. Bringing back the popular Snake game, the company said, “The world-renowned game Snake will be snaking its way back into people’s hearts with a new version available to play on Messenger, part of Facebook’s Instant Games cross platform experience.”
The Nokia 3310 will be available gloablly in four distinctive colours – Warm Red and Yellow, both with a gloss finish, and Dark Blue and Grey both with a matte finish. According to a media release by HMD Global, all Nokia phones launched at MWC 2017 would be available in to variants- Single SIM and Dual SIM varaint.
Nokia 3310 offers 2G connectivity, has inbuilt FM Radio and MP3 player. It has 16 MB storage on board and offers an expandable storage up to 32GB via Micro SD card slot.
While addressing Nokia fans, Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global said, “For the Nokia 3310 we just couldn’t resist. We wanted to reward loyal Nokia phone fans and make a statement that rich heritage, innovation and modern design can go hand-in-hand. Fundamentally, it is about making sure that right across our portfolio we are delivering this pure Nokia experience.”
